- “servants of Christ”: I am an under-rower of Christ (picture yourself on a rowing crew or as Ben-Hur a Roman galley ) listening for and keeping in rhythm with the rhythm of Heaven, and as a
- “stewards of the mysteries”: We are “managers of mysteries” helping others “onward through the fog.” (R. Crumb)
And, Great is the mystery of godliness:
“This Christian life is a great mystery, far exceeding our understanding, but some things are clear enough:
He appeared in a human body, was proved right by the invisible Spirit, was seen by angels.
He was proclaimed among all kinds of peoples, believed in all over the world, taken up into heavenly glory.” (1 Timothy 3:16, The Message)
