Does setting an example matter?
Paul tearfully answers, Yes! And shares three ways we can get off track as believers.
It’s both about who we follow and how we lead.
In this passage, the apostle, Paul, calls us to discern.

you ever going to get out of jail?
Simple and powerful…. Love that about Gods interactions with us.. IMITATE JESUS … BEWARE WORLDLY IMITATIONS/ COUNTERFEITS… So much easier than if Jesus or Paul said fully understand me, and all of my ways, break them down into flow charts and percentages… dissect them to find their origins, and how they work…. MUCH EASIER… IMITATE ME! Thanks John
A “Simple and powerful” you are very welcome, Dan, in is delightful order! You took it to the next step! I add my thank you for your thank you! Thanks, Dan!
Thank you, Brent, for your loving concern! I’m optimistic about my release! One more delightful video series covering Philippians chapter four and the parole board says I can move on to writing and doing interviews about the power and importance of SIMPLE CHURCH. I’ll focus on how we are to be “the guide on the side instead of the sage on the stage.”
Meanwhile, Brent, please come by during visiting hours and bring me some tacos and a chocolate pie (dark, not chiffon, and whipping cream on top).
Again, thank you for your loving concern and prayers. Montanans are awesome!
Satan has a way to make self-centered appetites, shameful things, and worldly things be believed to be godly things by God’s people.
Example: The 500 year tradition of clergyism
1. The appetite for a “higher calling” is high, but it’s all a lie. There is only ONE calling and it’s “make disciples”. Allegedly the “higher calling” it to not work in the alleged secular marketplace. That is a lie. “Whatever we do…” is serving Christ, (Col. 3:23,24) specially in the marketplace which is the most powerful place for evangelism.
2. It is shameful to force the biblical term “preach” into strict one way communication and RESERVE it for only men with Bible degrees, RESTRICTED from laity. “Preach” is a ministry assigned to EVERY believer in 1 Peter 2:9, and the great commission.
3. It is worldly to force church form into a hierarchy with pecking orders and titles. Jesus rejected spiritual titles that “exalt”. Matthew 23:14-18. The only exalted one is Jesus. Jesus assigned us ALL to “brother”, “slave”, and “servant” status.
99% of American believers are fooled by these ruses from Satan. He even has our Bible falsely translated to make them appear godly. “Let the elders who RULE well…” 1 Tim. 5:17. The Greek word for rule is not there. Jesus used the Greek word for rule and rejected it. Matthew 20: 25-27. I used to be a sucker for these falsehoods, but not any more. We have to “one another” about these scriptures to get out of their trap.
