Paul of Tarsus writes: “Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances.” (Philippians 4:11, The Message)
- Sense of needing anything personally—thanksgiving and faith sees this and wants it. It is not to be distant and conceited but to hear, see and serve without distraction.
- I’ve learned by now—contentment is a journey.
- Quite content—self-contained in Christ. “I can do all things in him. The one who empowers me.” (Phil. 4:13)
- Whatever my circumstances—looking unto Jesus (Hebrews 12:3)
Let’s catch some contentment! We can!
