Today, if you’re the owner of a lonely heart and feeling “beat up” by thieves and left to die on the side of the road, take heart—
Remember the “Good Samaritan”?
“He went to [the wounded, dying man] and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.” Luke 10:34 (ESV)
He “took care of him.” That feels good…right?
For us today, Jesus is the caring “Good Samaritan.”
The “oil and wine” is Jesus’ love being poured into our lonely, lost, and aching hearts.
Love Pours In…
“…God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5 (ESV)
Regarding the wounds, Jesus, says,
“…In the world, you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (ESV)
Giv’m heaven, your brother,
John Parker
