Good morning, Papa Father: Thank you for your sovereignty and your law.

We love your law (God’s perfect, holy way of doing things) in our new, inner, born-from-above person. (Romans 7:22) Your law is milk and honey and strong food for our soul.

In Psalm 119 Almost every verse praises God’s Law.
Here is one stanza:

“God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course.
Give me insight so I can do what you tell me—
my whole life one long, obedient response.
Guide me down the road of your commandments;
I love traveling his freeway!
Give me a bent for your words of wisdom,
and not for piling up loot.
Divert my eyes from toys and trinkets,
invigorate me on the pilgrim way.
Affirm your promises to me—
promises made to all who fear you.
Deflect the harsh words of my critics—
but what you say is always so good.
See how hungry I am for your counsel;
preserve my life through your righteous ways!”
Psalm 119:33–40 The Message Bible

So, we Exercise Our Souls to Eat Stronger–from Liquid to Solid Food. (1 Timothy 4:8; Hebrews 5:13) As some parents say, “Eat your vegetables.”

“Solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:14, ESV)

“And it is my (Paul the apostle’s) prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” (Philippians 1:9–11, ESV)

Enjoy your meal!
