In 1970, with loads of problems in my life, I (John) was not looking for the Lord.
But the Lord was there with me and through the Holy Spirit called me back in! (I’m sure my mom was praying…)
Isaiah’s words explain it all!
“Isaiah dared to speak out these words of God:
‘People found and welcomed me who never so much as looked for me.
And I found and welcomed people who had never even asked about me.’”
(Romans 10:20, The Message Bible in Contemporary Language)
I am shockingly grateful for this—Yes you, Lord, came by and welcomed me to yourself.—When I wasn’t interested in you!

“…the tempers power is broken…”
Even though I was born into a very godly home, the tempter has arranged for systemic sin to be a part of every godly home for 500 years. No one seemed to know their habits were sinful. But Jesus stepped in at about 1976 and showed me in the scriptures what he wanted. He gave strength to reject the sin, claimed to be godly, and begin to work His “new and living way” with “meeting together” given to “one another” communication rather than one way communication by one hired man. Heb. 10:19-25.
At the point of our death, we will instantly be changed much more into His likeness.
Tim, may your future generations be blessed because you took notice of God when He spoke to you, and may God’s blessings like concentric circles, bless those in your sphere of influence.
