Making mistakes proves that you are trying, attempting, hoping, dreaming, believing. How do you think Peter felt as he started sinking in front of Jesus and all his fellows who were safely watching Peter’s crazy escapade from the safety of the boat? (Matthew 14:22-36)

Did he make a mistake? Yes, he got distracted by the wind and the waves and panicked. Then he cried out “Lord, save me!” and Jesus reached down and did just that. Together they walked back to the boat and Peter’s fellow disciples were shocked and surprised and cheered for God (worshipped)!

We make our plans. God orders our steps.  Humbly dream big enough, then take steps, and know that God is in them and “will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Unlike some, Jesus doesn’t get mad at us about mistakes. He reaches out and helps us, instead.
