Today’s Jesus Zoom Gathering was awesome with participants from Pakistan and the United States.
We sang Psalm 41 –“On Betrayal,” read Luke 22:1-6, and examined the betrayal of Jesus by Judas.
We noted that religious powers hated Jesus and funded Judas to betray Jesus.
We ended by rejoicing that the Lord is using ordinary people to further his kingdom.
Common People
“Now when
- they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that
- they were uneducated, common men,
- they were astonished. And they recognized that
- they had been with Jesus. But seeing the man who was healed standing beside them,
- they had nothing to say in opposition.” (Acts 4:13–14, ESV)
Everyday Believers
“Brothers and sisters, I myself feel sure that
- You are full of goodness, that
- You have all knowledge and that
- You are able to teach one another.” (Romans 15:14, GNB)

The Holy Spirit empowers people to teach who are blind, deaf, uneducated, unable to read the Bible and many more disabilities. God has more power than these problems.
Bible degrees are not even mentioned in the Bible as being a qualification to teach. Bible degrees mislead believers to think teaching is mostly giving out true words. That is false. Teaching is mostly teaching by example and giving truth out in “one another” quality communication.
Teaching demands a result that God empowers, not Bible degrees. Not even a Phd.
Luke 6:40
A disciple is not above his teacher,
but EVERYONE when he is FULLY TRAINED
will be LIKE his teacher.
With the power of God flowing through a clean believer, this result will take place.
Thank you, Tim, for three great points:
1. Bible degrees are not even mentioned in the Bible as being a qualification to teach.
2. Bible degrees mislead believers to think teaching is mostly giving out true words. That is false.
3. Teaching is mostly teaching by example and giving truth out in “one another” quality communication.
